The Hoodland Area Water Coalition (HAWC) is comprised of the 58 different water systems that are located within a 45 square mile area between Aldercreek (Ivy Bear) to the west and Government Camp to the east.

That area includes the unincorporated communities of Alder Creek, Arrah Wanna, Brightwood, Welches, Wemme, Zigzag, Rhododendron, Government Camp, and other small community water systems in the area.
